First to the Tiger cave Temple to take in the rich Buddhist culture of one of Thailands most impressive Temples. Then on to the Krabi Night market / walking street for the evening.

The temple, also known as Wat Tam Seaur, is dominated by the Giant Buddha at the top of the Karst mountain under which it sits. There are steps up to mountain top (1247 of them!). The steps are quite steep but there are handrails all the way up and although its not an effortless climb, there are places to stop and rest and it is safe.
The beauty of a private tour is that you have plenty of time at the temple to allow you to get up and down.
At ground level, there are walkways to the caves that go deep under the mountain in which there are many shrines, arranged amongst the stalagtites and stalagmites. The place has a very sacred feeling and you can see why this place was chosen to host Krabi's oldest Buddhist Wat.
Why it is called Tiger Cave Temple is not really known, there are many theories from legends about real Tigers who used to live in the cave to theories that the shape of the mountain itself is similar to a Tiger's Paw.
On Friday, saturday and sunday, the area behind Vogue shopping centre is closed off to traffic and becomes the night market. The night market, although not very large, has a great selection of snacks and eating options from spicy Thai salad, to coconut icecream, deep fried insects and BBQ prawns. There is also a selection of handicrafts, clothes and souvenirs, a great place to pick up a few gifts to take home.
There is also a stage where local groups perform a wide variety of acts. The selection is eclectic and on any night might be some traditional folk music, modern dance groups, pop singers or even break dancers.
Although its not really needed for this trip, we can provide an English speaking guide for 1100thb for the trip.
Quoted price is for the minivan and is total up to the maximum for van or car. Maximum of 3 passengers for a car and up to 10 passengers for a minivan.
This trip is only available on friday, saturday and sunday.
This tour begins in the afternoon. You are picked up from your hotel at about 2:00pm. (This time can be adjusted to suit your schedule). You will return to your hotel at about 9:00pm.
We try to make these private trips as flexible as possible, we give an option to use a minibus for larger groups or a car, also the option of a guide or not and an option on lunch.
