Krabi Island Scuba Experience

People come to Krabi to see the beauty of the Andaman, but most only see a very small part of it. What happens under the surface of the water is even more beautiful and remarkable than anything above it.

Our Krabi Island Scuba Experience gives you a true taste of what this underwater world is like. (just one warning, scuba diving is highly addictive, once tried, never forgotten.)

Below the Surface

You get a whole day getting a taste of life under the surface. You get a basic introduction to Scuba Diving. The discovery experience is run by experienced and qualified PADI (professional Association of Diving Instructors) instructors but is run entirely from the beach making it suitable for children 12 and over as well as adults of all ages.

All members of the group are closely supervised at all times and are within reach of one of the instructors at a maximum depth of 12 meters. We keep the groups small and will let every member choose what they are comfortable with.

You get to try out breathing underwater using a mask and can advance at your own speed. Once you are comfortable breathing, you can spend some time exploring this magical underwater world. At Poda Island, even in the shallows there is an abundance of life that will just amaze you. You will find yourself with hundreds of varieties of small colourful and inquisitive fish and coral of every colour imagineable.

Each member has a tank of air which will give you about 40 minutes of breathing time to get used to it and relax. You then get a second dive in the afternoon with which you can further explore. This experience is a real mind opener and the great thing is, that if you love it, you can use this experience as the first part in a full PADI open water course. (PADI call this a "Discover Scuba Diving DSD Experience, you will get a certificate to prove that you have completed this and will be able to take it to other PADI centers around the world and use this dive towards a full Open Water Certification).

The trip can also be made to Phi Phi, the same two dives, but with the potential to go a little deeper if you feel comfortable to do so. Either way though, its a wonderful experience that everyone should at least try one time in their life.
